Team IMPACT
ALL IN 5K
Team IMPACT is excited to launch the All In 5K on October 1st, 2023!
Families, healthcare partners, student-athletes, staff, and supporters of all ages and abilities will lace up their shoes and grease up their wheels in support of Team IMPACT, from anywhere. Gather family, friends, co-workers, and pets to walk, run, or roll together through your town, or participate on your own! There’s no wrong way to 5K. This event brings our entire nationwide community together for a common cause — raising critical funds to reach more kids and teams who can benefit from our unique program.

Vara's Story
"There will never be a perfect way to describe the overwhelming gift Team IMPACT has given us. Ultimately, at the far end of our medical journey, we were lost in mental distress and weakened social circles looking around and wondering, did we just deplete everyone in our life? Does nobody care about the fact that this child is still scared and sleeping with her mother most days? Are we selfish because we are still alive, here, and seemingly sort of healthy and that does not feel like enough?
Over time the deep-rooted loneliness she feels, and I see and then I feel, is not easy to articulate. But Team IMPACT is built to help this. Who was the smart group of people with hearts of gold that said, "Living but alone is not living enough?" TEAM IMPACT. In tears most times out of joy and relief, I see Vara thriving and enjoying so many moments. She has reasons to take her headphones off and listen to the world around her; to watch her teammates perform; and to strive to find a way to help them. Be it water, a clinic, a photo, a hug…she wants to be the teammate they see her as. She is shy and reserved, but recently Coach said she got a “real hug” from Vara, and she noticed her guard being let down. How can we ever thank anyone enough for that!?"
